First poster presentation award and a great oral presentation for the iFUNFoods project in the 15th International Scientific Conference on Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut microbiota, and Health – IPC2022
Our consortium participated in the IPC2022 Conference held last week (27-30 June 2022) in Bratislava with two presentations:
An oral presentation on Novel Functional Food Ingredients based on Immobilised Lactiplantibacillus pentosus cells delivered by Paraskevi Somalou (with Vasiliki Giokari, Panayiotis (Takis) Panas and Yiannis Kourkoutas) and a poster presentation on the Effect of a Novel Pediococcus acidilactici Strain on Obesity-Associated Insulin Resistance in a Short-Term High Fat Diet Mouse Model (Eleftheria Ieronymaki, Valentini Santarmaki, Paraskevi Somalou, Ria Feidaki, Panayiotis (Takis) Panas, Notis Argiriou, Yiannis Kourkoutas and Christos Tsatsanis).
On behalf of the whole consortium (Democritus University of Thrace - (D.U.Th.), Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), University of Crete, Axaiko Entelvais SA and QLCon), we are thrilled to receive the first price award for this poster presentation and we sincerely thank the Scientific Committee of the IPC2022 and the International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene of the International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS) for this honor.
